A curious thing I've noted over the years about science: they either assume, in the absence of any evidence, things are much simpler than they are. But then, when building theories, they LOVE to add and add and add, until their theoretical edifice is vastly more complicated than things are.

HI Sean, yes ! you are spot on. They try to simplify the unbelievable complexity of life or the cosmos down to a 'unified theory', pronouncing it as 'simple materialism', but when you look into it, it will contain more ellipticals, exceptions, retrogrades and distortions than Ptolemy's system x 10, and maths that bend and break incredulity and reality. Sometimes they should just admit they don't have a clue. :)
