100 years later, Poor's complaints are still true. Relativity resolves precisely nothing and adds chaos and fantasy to the Euclidean universe. Einstein's 'proofs' are frauds.
Scientists who knew better would have had to collude in order to help Einstein put Relativity over on the the non-scientist world. Some would do this simply for material gain. But the establishment only cheats to gain power. Why did government and academia collude to suppress knowledge and investigation of Aether and the electric forces? This article lays out the what and the how of their subversion, but the *why* has to be something that would tilt the earth in its axis if revealed.
The why for Relativity is explained in some other posts - waving away the light experiments which find no movement of this planet; 'confirming Copernicanism' (it doesn't); the 1919 Eddington declaration that Relativity explains solar light aberration (it was a fraud); mercury's perihelion (a fraud); and of course money, power, high priesthood, control and awards. By 1922 as Poor complains, Relativity was a gospel. It became an industry.
Thanks - Excellent and clearly written, as usual. What a shame a man like Poor could not win the Nobel Prize and be famous all over the world. My feeling is that some power or other is deciding what the truth is and what the "consensus" is according to its interests and relativism suited it well at the dawn of the 20th century when ethical and political relativism would be needed in order to keep the wars going at a time of mass literacy and mass communication. Einstein was plucked from the patent office and sanctified by the Gods of True Science not because he was right but because it was expedient for them.
Thanks glad you enjoyed it. You are right. "Einstein was plucked from the patent office and sanctified by the Gods of True Science not because he was right but because it was expedient for them."
Einstein obtained a Phd and as a patent clerk on 'science' had access to the latest scientific articles. A few posts here cover his open plagiarism and lack of attribution. He was clever with maths. This was the important shift wrought by Kepler and Descartes. Einstein's maths explained the light experiment failures which denied Copernicanism, and was able to provide some complex logic to support heliocentricity. However, Einstein's own Relativity is even better suited to'prove' geocentricity :)
'Science' is a business model, people naively assume it has to do with truth. Truth rarely makes an entrance once the money, awards and honours begin.
The trick of using geometry and trigonometry to baffle the masses first happened when Rheticus wrote 'Narratio Prima' around 1540. I suspect he had completed it much earlier. I am also confident I can prove Rheticus wrote 'On the Revolution of the Celestial Spheres'. As you know, it proves nothing and includes as many, if not more, epicycles than the Ptolemaic model. Rheticus probably wrote 'The Commentariolus' and 'A Letter to Werner' with the collaboration of people like Peter Apian and Johannes Schöner. Schöner was a disciple of Regiomontanus, who in turn was a protege of Bessarion. Bessarion was a pupil of Plethon, and Plethon was a Sun worshipper who significantly influenced the development of astronomy during the early Renaissance period. Plethon was instrumental in inspiring the setting up of the new Platonic academy under Marsilio Ficino, whose 'Book of the Sun' prefigured 'De revolutionbus'.
"The Book of the Sun represents the culmination of Ficino’s life and work. Published in 1494, five years before his death, it is a supreme example of the very synthesis of astrology, religion and philosophy for which Ficino strived all his life and illustrates his ability to convey the deepest mystical experience within a lucid, authoritative prose. In the ‘Dedication’ to Piero de’ Medici, Ficino tells us that the origin of this work is the metaphor of the Sun in Plato’s Republic, and that he was inspired by Pseudo-Dionysius on the same subject. Ficino’s new reading of the Republic passage was destined for the third edition of his Plato translation, patronised by Piero."
At the same time Ficino published the "Book of the Sun" Pico della Mirandola was working on his work that attempted to complete demolish the ideas behind Ficino's work.
"This is the work often characterised as the most extensive and incisive attack on astrology that the world had yet seen. Pico started to work on the Disputationes in 1493 but the work was never completed to the author's sudden death in 1494. The treatise was published posthumously in 1496 by Pico's nephew Gianfrancesco Pico della Mirandola. Since then the work has sometimes been suspected to be a forgery, although there is no firm evidence to confirm this assumption. In the preface, Pico differentiates two types of astrology: mathematical, that is astronomy, which is considered a useful tool in astronomical observations, and judicial astrology, whose adepts intend to predict the future. Throughout the treatise Pico demonstrates that astrology has no natural philosophical and scientific grounds, and is embroiled in numerous contradictions and inconsistencies within itself.
After its publication, the work provoked large-scale discussions on the status of astrology in Italy and across Europe, which resulted in numerous pro- and anti-responses."
Not long afterwards the Medici had Pico murdered. All of these people were Astronomers, Cartographers and Astrologers. Astrology for them is a part of their religion. Pico learned the hard way that you do not oppose billion dollar industries without suffering the consequences. Kepler can be directly linked to Rheticus and the Wittenberg circle through Mäestlin who had a key role in pushing the heliocentric model.
If you go over to Simon Shack's site you can see how the Emperic Sidereal Intervals of Mars cannot be explained by the heliocentric model. It does fit with the Earth-centric Tychonic or Semi-Tychonic model however.
Great information and thanks for the details and links. I did not know much if any of this. It comports with posts here on Copernicus and Kepler the Conniver. I am convinced Kepler killed Brahe, though the 'science' has 'proven' he is innocent. As you wrote, Copernicus' theories were just that, and it might be that he did not author the work attributed to him.
I agree. Kepler administered the second dose, but I suspect the first dose was administered by someone who organised the banquet in Prague. Peter Vok of Rozemburk was the host. If you look into his family, you will discover they had close ties to the Elizabethan Court and a certain John Dee, master alchemist and spook, who spent time in the 1580s at the estate of Vok's brother in Bohemia. There, he met up with Thaddaeus Hagecius, a protege of Melanchthon, which forms a link to the Wittenberg circle. It's a rabbit hole with many diverging exit points.
Herwart von Hohenburg was the guy who got Kepler the assistant's role with Brahe. He is a very obscure character who also seems to have played a significant role in the entire affair. Either way, the invisible college that Robert Boyle referred to in one of his letters in the 1640s existed long before then.
This site is excellent, with loads of good stuff, so I just signed up.
Great stuff. So this is where the religion of modern science was born, Thanks for the links. More please. I recently discovered the best history book I ever laid my hands on, William Durant's 1932, The Story of Civilization. The value of this book is to give a broad overview of the development of civilization as a whole and it has allowed me to connect all sorts of dots that I knew about before but had never connected. Dr F has made the point on this substack that the modern world resulted in knowing more and more about less and less. For me Durant was right to try to stand back and see knowledge in the round and hence not fall into the error of thinking any one form of knowledge - in this case rational science based on mathematics - is the only form of knowledge which is true. This is not to argue for relativism, but rather to see truth as a many faceted attempt to approach truth through a study of all forms of knowledge within a cultural and historic context. The dogma of modern scientism ( origins described by you here) was, for me, the primary underlying cause of the covid disaster where the belief in viruses, infection, causal relationships between chemicals, molecules and processes in the human body, has led to the politicization of medicine and consequently a swift path to medical tyranny. Thanks for your comment.
I agree. All human societies, throughout recorded history, have had religions. Religion tells us what is true, good, and right. Nearly all have Gods. Religions change over time and often come into conflict with wars being fought for the "true" religion. The crusades stand as a nice example. Most religions claim truth by divine revelation. Most have a book or series of books. Science is just our present day form of religion. Science is no more "true" than any other religion is. He who controls the religion of a particular society has enormous power. The expression "trust the science" is identical to "trust in the bible". These days "faith" in science and scientists is required of all members of society. One public expression of piety and faithfulness to science is getting vaccinated. If you are against vaccines you are a heretic and must be shunned, silenced and denied. Nothing has changed except the vocabulary. How to escape the tyranny of orthodox infallible science?
Well said. Yes the Rona Medical Nazism and 'the science' had/have their gospel, liturgy, rituals and confirmations (jabs, diapers, spacetime, 'evolving', etc). Scientism can be fought with faith, logic and disproof. Corona may have awakened about 1/3 of the population. That is a lot of people who can evangelise and convert the rest to reality. If the scam of the virus, or relativity, or evolution, or some other 'fact' is used as the starting point, that is fine. Different routes to the same goal. As with the Apostles and Paul it takes courage, conviction, knowledge and an absolute belief that the cause is right.
I'm waiting for your work on the existence of DNA. As unique substance or molecule or whatever. Wheather exists as the way it said to be and functions the way it is said to be. Was it a discovery or invention, is that a settled science (body of knowledge) or another layer of deception or blunder or fiction (mythology). And it's uses in virology.
Will get there. DNA and Evolution as a unit is coming. So much to say about both. Wrote an unpublished book (no takers to publish it) on this topic with some colleagues. Will refine what we uncovered and start posting them.
If we can with 100% certainty say that genetics is pseudoscience then we can with 100% certainty say that classification of viruses thus established fact that there are different families of viruses is false. There are no different families of viruses. And all you are left with is traditional meaning of the word virus, that is poison.
Valuable writing. The Argentine polymath Mario Crocco was often critiquing Einstein and time as 'dimension. As I previously mentioned I think you are using 'pace' to mean 'following'. It's the opposite!

Apparently astronomers are not aware of the ESI of Mars. What a surprise.

No problem. It's a great site to be honest. Many thanks to Dr. F for all the effort putting it together.
My pleasure, lots more to come. Other viewpoints need to be heard. Scientism has the power to end most of what we cherish.

Valuable writing. The Argentine polymath Mario Crocco was often critiquing Einstein and time as 'dimension. As I previously mentioned I think you are using 'pace' to mean 'following'. It's the opposite!
'Even if repeating what you very well know, let me use simple words from a very
old synthesis I utilized before internet, now chancely found among my papers.
No physical past or future exists. The physical universe is always “now”, with
the interval-like thickness and remarkable structure summarized in Palindrome,
and it is always in causal-efficient transformation. Intervals arise from
memory, a feature of some natural entities, and from internal needs of the
mathematical formalisms. Time is not a dimension because nothing moves along
it. Yet, for relativistic physics, time ought to be presented as a continuum of
imaginary numbers, i.e. of numbers multiplied by the square root of minus one.
It is the only mathematical form to make reference to "distances" between two
events. You ask for "distances", you get imaginary spatialization. But imaginary
dimensions aren´t navigatable. It is impossible to travel along such
mathematical constructs.' Mario Crocco.
'BTW, I send you an OCR of Palle Yourgrau´s A World Without Time. It´s
incompletely corrected but readable; you might finish the OCR correction, if
you wish it. Yet cave canem. Neither this author nor Gödel or Einstein had the
least idea of such a political and cultural process, thus they so easily fell
into their notorious error. Hope in some generations everybody be able to avoid
it.'
